US Branch Posters:

The following two poster designs (to US Letter scale) were designed to advertise Tarka Accord and the attitude of fighting against the burgeoning dictatorial fascist oligarchy in the United States.

The various elements of this design are thus:

  • The US Branch Tarka Accord Extended Logo in the rough centre as the focal point. More on this extended logo can be read here.

  • The sentence "The Fight for Freedom is Now" displayed partly above and partly below the logo - included as a rallying call for any prospective members, with "Fight for Freedom" highlighted both for better legibility from afar and to continue a part of a slogan from the Hong Kong pro-democracy movement (being: "Fight for Freedom, Stand with Hong Kong").

  • A small banner at the bottom reaffirming the call to action and presenting Tarka Accord as an option to fight against the fascists.

Stylised Elon Musk Saluting Poster for US Branch of Tarka Accord.png

The various elements of this design are thus:

  • A stylised traced image presenting Elon Musk performing the fascist salute at President Trump's second inauguration. The image of his salute was chosen as a clear and provocative presentation of their true identity.

  • A mostly removed background, with the exception of the starts behind Mr. Musk. These were included to maintain the visual language of the United States with the added benefit of improving the visual balance of the poster.

  • The general design of the illustrated top half of this poster took inspiration from fascist design elements with its sharp angles, straight lines and bold colours (specifically red, black and white).

  • The seal of the President of the United States, on the podium, replaced with a swastika within a roundel of the same dimensions paired with the words "We're Back" - included to both be purposefully provocative and to strip away the veneer of normality that the symbols of the presidency provide.

  • The depiction of Mr. Musk in the image was made to be a stylised silhouette of his gesture in order to somewhat depersonalise the gesture to extenuate its objective vile nature.

  • The phrase "Never Again" was chosen as a reminder of the crimes that people like those in the current Trump Administration are willing to commit due to their own deep-seeded bigotries, with the phrase being heavily associated with the Holocaust and other genocides.

  • The phrase "Never Again" was expanded into a call to action - "Our forebears made a promise: "Never Again"[.] We must not fail them" - with the extended phrase hearkening back to those who survived WW2 against the Axis Powers to see the heinous crimes committed by those regimes.
