Community Unions

As stated on the US Branch homepage (here), one of the two primary purposes of Tarka Accord in the US is the formation of community unions designed to provide an avenue for resistance against dictatorial overreach, unity against landlords and local employers, and the bear essentials to live like food and drinking water.

The way that we intend on building these community unions is by getting individuals all across the United States committed to the idea and forging community unions around them in their local areas - with the hope being that these individuals can be joined by other committed neighbours in order to start making the small scale change needed to pull-in the less invested members of their communities and develop a union of neighbourhood solidarity against starvation, wage-slavery and the reduction of their rights.

Motives for Changes

When a committed individual is prepared to build a community union where they live, it is important to understand that different communities are likely to be receptive to different types of issues. We would regard these issues are the particular 'motives' for change; they're not necessarily the only issues that need solving in an area, but they're the keystone issues that all other forms of change can be built in the wake of. A list of issues identified as being potentially the most common could include:

  • Traffic Congestion

  • Unaffordable Healthcare

  • Expensive Groceries

  • High Rents

  • Poor Quality New Construction

  • Wage Slavery

  • Removal of Rights

    • From the 2nd Ammendment to Immigration

Tarka Accord Network

Alongside helping to support the foundation of community unions - and new national branches if needs be - Tarka Accord provides a framework for these unions to communicate and collaborate together within Tarka Accord. We believe that having community unions working with one another and with the central internal bodies of Tarka Accord allows for larger issues to be solved - an potential example of this including having the community unions in a state commit to collective action for a cause to force state legislators to act on a widely perceive issue.
