American Emigrants
Due to the situation of the new Trump administration's attempts at establishing a far-right oligarchic autocracy, the idea of aiding Americans in leaving the United States stemming from the fear of losing their democracy came to Tarka Accord – which lead to the formation of the US Branch of the group. Because of this, aiding American emigrants is one of our key US principles.
Establishing Services
Tarka Accord is still in the process of expanding services for emigration aid and is looking for people to help with the project. Regarding current aid options, we are willing to take on a small amount of cases to take on despite not yet having a dedicated emigration aid team - these cases will be administered directly by the Director Office with other branches being brought in when deemed as necessary. For the time being, our limited current advice is on this page.
Emigration or Seeking Asylum
When it comes to the method of leaving the United States, either seeking asylum or emigrating, Tarka Accord would currently heavily advise emigrating rather than seeking asylum for the vast majority of people. This preference is due to two key problems with seeking asylum: moving property, and application rejections.

Moving Property:
It is valuable to mention that Tarka Accord is not yet well versed in the specifics of moving property when seeking asylum; however, from what we have managed to understand, the process of seeking asylum in a territory - whether or not that claim succeeds - would likely make the transfer of property from the initial location to the territory of the claim difficult.

Application Rejections:
Seeking asylum is a very difficult, lengthy and often fruitless process. In order for an asylum claim to succeed, under the word of someone related to the field who will remain private, it would have to thoroughly and irrefutably show that the claimant can and should fear persecution from the government or persecution from others tacitly supported or ignored by the government. Due to this, even with the clear rise of autocracy in the United States, seeking asylum would only become a realistic option once the situation worsens to a truly awful degree for the would-be claimant's respective group/s within the country.

Option of Last Resort:
Due to the likelihood of rejection if the application is premature, the possible difficulties of moving personal property, and, the potentially dangerous action of stalling leaving the country until an asylum claim would pass: Tarka Accord would advise seeking asylum only as an open of last resort.

Legal Advice Notice
Tarka Accord cannot offer legal advice on this matter, so we would formally recommend seeking more professional aid. The advice that Tarka Accord can offer is more of an introduction into the topic of leaving the United States, and an active aid in leaving the United States if contacted about the matter. Again, do not take the word of Tarka Accord as legal advice, yet we will be here as much as we can to help.
