What We Need Currently
Currently we’re focusing mostly on Tulsa and then Oklahoma as a whole before branching out but if anyone wishes to start their own chapter we hope you use this as a guide, currently we want another organizer and we want someone (or multiple) who can handle some of our media, particularly we need someone who can run a Reddit page, an Instagram and a TikTok and I need another moderator for the discord and someone who can help with the Facebook page. If there are any other social media groups you’d be interested in running please let us know! We need outreach and a creative team as well and table runners if they’re interested. In particular I need help making flyers. Eventually we’ll need some distributors but for now we’re focused on the other tasks.
Chapter Leaders
The one who keeps track of all the other roles to make sure they’re running smoothly and to see if they need anything, might have to cover the roles of others if there’s not enough people or they need help, runs a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly meeting and/or in person meetup. Also keeps in touch with and reaches out to other organizations and will likely have to take on being an organizer as well. Takes in any suggestions to improve the organizations as well. Chapter leaders will need to talk to and plan with organizers, let the social media team know about any important announcements they need to make, make sure any outreach material is appropriate, informs the creative team about what organizations are requesting and sets up local Crafters' Spaces.
Organizers
Plans and arranges events and keeps track of any upcoming protests where a table can be set up or any other event where we could be of help. Handles the calendar and will likely need to keep in contact with other organizations and groups.
Chapter Leaders
Someone that can run the social media pages, for more information on social media: (404error).
Outreach
Can be anything from making and printing flyers and zines or promoting our group to other organizations (letting them know we can help them) or making a banner to hold up or it could be as simple as just bringing it up in a conversation, whatever you feel comfortable with!
For material it must not have profanity, nudity, hateful or derogatory language or attacking anyone, just keep the focus on the organization.
Table Runners
Organizers will plan a table and ask for someone to run it, the table provides for people to make their own protest signs with supplies that are provided which includes poster paper, markers, pens, pencils and/or paints, rulers and anything else you may want to provide, we can also have a small temporary Crafters' Space at the table for people to take craft supplies and a list showing examples of things people can make and what other organizations need help with.
